What to Expect at the First Appointment
At your child’s first appointment, Dr. Jon will collect a detailed history and use Insight Scanners to analyze your child’s nervous system. This will help him find the root cause of the problem. Insight Scanners are non-invasive, safe, gentle, and allow us to dive deeper and see exactly where the problem and areas of stress are occurring. We then compile all of our data and create a care plan individualized to your child.
We know that when your child has a sympathetic dominant nervous system (the side responsible for the fight or flight response), they are under a lot of stress. If left uncorrected it results in a domino effect, with one issue leading to another. Rather than “growing out of it” of issues like colic, sleeping problems, constipation, ear infections and the like, we see that they actually grow into different conditions as they get older such as GI/digestive issues, behavioral issues, continued sleeping difficulties, trouble focusing, ADD, ADHD, anxiety, or depression.
