Once I go to a chiropractor, will I always have to go?

We recommend continuing to see your chiropractor to ensure the spine and nervous system function as intended. It’s not about pain relief but instead improving the quality of life. There are many chiropractic benefits, and most people love how they feel with consistent care, like how people continue to go to the gym for fitness.

Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?

No, adjustments are typically painless and very safe compared to medical approaches.

Can chiropractic cure everything?

Chiropractic doesn’t cure anything; your body does the healing. It can relieve the nervous system of interference caused by spinal bones shifting out of place. When free of interference, the body can function and heal as designed. That’s why so many conditions improve with our care.

Do you accept insurance?

At Evolved Chiropractic, we are out of network with insurance, which allows us to do exactly what each client needs and get the best results possible without your insurance company trying to dictate, limit, or deny care. We do accept FSA and HSA plans, as well as provide you with a “Superbill,” a receipt you can provide to your insurance, and in many cases, they will reimburse you for the cost according to your plan.

How much does it cost?

Our costs vary from case to case since everything is tailored to meet your needs. After being seen in person and going through our examination, we will have a better idea of what your cost of care would be. We offer family plans to make things more affordable.

Do I need a referral from my physician?

No, you do not need a referral. You can schedule an appointment with us with no issues.

Do you work with medical doctors?

Although we don’t work directly with medical doctors, you can still request them to send documents to us and for us to send to them. We are willing to communicate and work with your medical doctor to get your health back on track!

Will I get adjusted on my first visit?

We provide a “relief adjustment” on your first visit unless further testing is needed. This helps Dr. Jon understand how your spine moves and aids in analyzing the INSiGHT™ scans and X-rays. You may also feel some relief, which is always good!

Will you suggest exercises or other things I can do?

Dr. Jon often suggests and demonstrates exercises for our clients to do at home at no extra cost.

Can someone who has had back surgery see a chiropractor?

Yes, you can still see a chiropractor if you have had back surgery. If parts of your spine have been fused and there is medical hardware, X-rays are required so the doctor knows what he is working with.

Why would I have my newborn or young child adjusted?

Birth is a very traumatic process, not only for the mother but the baby as well. There is a lot of pressure and stress on the neck region, where many vital neurological structures are located. We check for irritation, and adjustments prevent discomfort and ensure proper growth and development.

Some studies have shown that approximately 90% of infants have subluxations that can affect growth, development, and overall health as children lift and move around. As you continue to pick up your baby repeatedly, these microtraumas may also add up over time, causing more discomfort for your baby.

Young children who aren’t adjusted as a baby often keep these subluxations as they grow, impacting their growth and development. It may also cause other health conditions to appear as the nervous system is irritated. Young kids also play and jump around a lot, whether it’s at home or a sporting event, which can also cause stress on their spine and nervous system and affect their health.

Can chiropractic help with colic, and how?

Yes. By gently adjusting the spine, we can alleviate the tension and discomfort the baby is experiencing. But Dr. Jon also performs a specific colic move to the ileocecal valve. If your baby’s distress is from a GI/digestive issue, releasing this valve helps them relax and be at ease.

How safe are adjustments for children?

Adjustments on children are very safe and beneficial. The force is much lighter than on adults, gradually increasing as the child grows.

When should my child receive their first adjustment?

Children can be adjusted as soon as they are born. The youngest client we’ve treated was only one week old.

How often should my child be adjusted?

The frequency depends on whether they’re experiencing a condition or coming in for a wellness check. Wellness checks are generally recommended every other week.

How safe are adjustments during pregnancy?

Adjustments during pregnancy are very safe. The body releases the hormone relaxin, making it easier to adjust with less force, which benefits both the mother and the baby.

How often do I need to come in during pregnancy?

The frequency will vary depending on individual circumstances. After an examination, our doctor will create a personalized plan for you.

Will you work with my OB-GYN?

We are happy to work with other professionals to ensure the healthiest and most comfortable pregnancy.

Do I need a referral from my physician?

No, a referral is not necessary. You can schedule an appointment without any issues.

How is sports chiropractic different from regular chiropractic?

Sports chiropractic focuses on helping you perform at your best and addresses a wide range of sports-related injuries. It improves mobility, enhances training/practice, and prevents future injuries.

Can regular chiropractic care improve my golf game?

Regular chiropractic care can improve mobility, swing speed, and power, and reduce aches and pains that may impact your golf game.

Does chiropractic help with sprains? How?

Yes, when you sprain a joint, the ligaments stretch, causing the bones to shift out of place. Chiropractic adjustments help restore proper alignment, aid healing, and improve joint stability.

Why do many professional athletes praise chiropractors?

Professional athletes use chiropractic care to recover quickly, prevent injuries, improve mobility, enhance muscle recruitment, boost cognitive function and reflexes, optimize training, and perform at their best during games.
